The concept of
the basket has probably been on the earthly scene since the beginning of
humanity. We are certain, that
we would be correct in saying, that it might well have been one of the very
first inventions! After all, the first family needed something with which to
collect their daily foodstuffs, found treasures of the land, and the
like.
Too, stepping up in time, can we not just
picture Queen Victoria in her marvelous flower garden in all its splendor;
collecting freshly cut and beauteous roses, along with baby's breath and
lavender cuttings in her favorite royal basket? And, of course, who of us in
this modern day has not used at least one of sort of basket or another for
good use?
Baskets are not only a useful item, but also
may be an article of beauty found in many forms in our Victoriana homes.
Victorian Bazaar relishes fine baskets. Remember, we are collectors of
the "charming and the beautiful". In contrast to our Bloomin'
Baskets, which are a sturdier breed, but nonetheless beautiful; we present
to you our more delicate Billowy Baskets for
the boudoir, powder room or we suppose, wherever Ma' Lady chooses to put it!
This darling mid-size, finely spun cloth
covered basket is perfect for the collection any of her own personal things.
With its soft ivory colouring and lovely lite ribbon and rosebuds, it is a
precious sight to behold, and obviously feminine as well. Please enjoy
it with our blessings!
